TVoB has the desire open more centres where the need arises. We have another place which we desire to open another skills centre. It is a women’s place of safety, these women due to their circumstances they can’t leave the place of safety but they can take up a course while they prepare themselves for the world.

We want to set up the programmes to run for 3 months maximum 6 months due to the nature of their stay. In this regard we are looking for 10 domestic sewing machines and 10 chairs and tables. If we get these, the centre can be able run.

The facilitators of these programmes also require an income, please partner with us again to make it possible. Finally, on completion of the 12 months programme we want our top 10 students to walk away with a sewing machine and material to start a business. How this works is that each student must perform the best in class, then they must identify a business that they will do, this business must be something that will enable them to employ at least one person, and addressing a gap within a community.

Once this is place we then help the new entrepreneur to set up the business, giving them support drawing up business plans, and ensuring they deliver quality approved garments as needed by the client. We stay with them for six-month helping as much as it is possible, then we step out then give them another six-month for them come for help if still needed. So, in total this programme is for 24 months, training and starting up and running a business.
